Is just around the corner, it must be as these have just arrived for me in the shop... gorgeous arn't they?
A very nice surprise for me this fine morning. Good customer service pays off it seems!
They're from a local florist so arrived very fresh indeed and filling the shop with a beautiful spring scent.
Outside the sun is shining although there is still a chill in the air, there is not quite blue sky but the clouds are looking thin in places.
And that is how I know that Easter is almost here.
Easter is slightly problematic for me, it is cream egg season and frankly all bets are off. I am one of those mothers that has to buy in her children's Easter eggs several times over and this years crop are of the cream egg variety. Already we are two egg's down! Fortunately they are the two extra's that I bought, so no second trips just yet!
I have finally turned my attention to my Easter treats stock and I have to say I am really please with the results, the favour cones are so cute and as an added bonus as the cones are not huge they hold just the right amount of treats to make them tasty with out being too much, especially with against the mounds of chocolate you know that the kids are going to get!
The carrots are filled with approx 65g of sweets.
A heavenly mixture of chocolate eggs and bunny tails (mini marsh mallows) and cost £1.50 each.
They are made from textured card which have been hand inked to give them an interesting finish and if you are careful you could keep the carrots to use again next year too.
I adore the cutsey wording "Some bunny loves you" and I know two
children at home who are going to love them too!
Happy Easter everyone
PS. And we started the following Monday morning with blizzarding snow!!!
